Patrinia scabiosifolia for infantile diarrhea, #infantilediarrhea

Indications: Treats infantile diarrhea.

Formula:

Patrinia scabiosifolia (败酱草, fresh).

Administration:

Wash fresh Patrinia scabiosifolia thoroughly, extract green juice, store in a bottle for same-day use.

​Dosage:

Infants under 1 year: 2 mL orally per dose.

Ages 1–2 years: 3 mL orally per dose.

Administer twice daily. May add a small amount of brown sugar.

Adjustments: For severe dehydration, administer oral rehydration salts (ORS) or intravenous fluids as needed.

Case Study:

72 pediatric diarrhea cases treated with this formula: 68 cured, 4 improved. ​Cure rate: 94%.

Example: Liang, male, 1 year old. Presented with green watery stools (10+ times/day) for 3 days, scanty dark urine, thirst, and mild dehydration (sunken eyes). Temperature: 37.1°C. Stool microscopy: fat globules (+). Previous medications (TCM/Western) failed.

​Treatment: Fresh Patrinia scabiosifolia juice with brown sugar, 2 mL twice daily + ORS.

​Result: Diarrhea reduced to 4 times/day after 1 day; fully resolved with continued treatment.
